Do not show empty options on load ONLY. After update, show them.

How it works

  • Hide any empty options on load
  • Update post count and do not hide empty options after update
  • You can use post count with this too.

Replicate

  1. Click on “Accessories Tag” under the tags filter item
  2. You will see the categories for example update the post count but nothing gets removed
  3. The tags do not change as I have the setting to not update the clicked item (optional)
  4. Although it is “shoes” category, we are just showing this as a test. You will see the “decor” and “music” tags are removed on the initial load as they are empty.

Settings

Filter Posts Settings

  • Content > Main Options > Filter update method: On change
  • Content > Main Options > Update filter count and empty options for clicked item: No (optional)

Filter Item Settings (for each filter item you want it to effect)

  • Content > Empty Options > Show empty filter options: Yes
  • Content > Empty Options > Hide Empty Options on Page Load: Yes

Optional (to show count)

  • Content > Checkbox/Radio > Display filter count: Yes
